Is this the turning point....Finally?????

Daddy will be home in 14 hours......Of course when you read this he may already be back in P-Town.....The girls are eagerly awaiting his arrival.....as am I.....It will be so good to see him.....its not easy living apart but we both know its for the greater good of getting ahead and buying a house.....Man I can't wait....

So I never did talk about Dish Network......lets just say after 5-6 or so years of Nana and Grandpa having it......they have officially switched back to cable as of this morning.....Lets just say horrible customer service from a horrible Satellite Contractor (StarWest Satellite) that was not even local in Pullman.....and then when we called the main Dish number to complain about the lack of service we were getting (I mean we put in our order for HD Upgrade on Aug 6th and got bumped 5 times, 3 times without a phone call after waiting around all day)......And to top it off I had planned on looking into Dish when we move to Texas because they have quite a bit more HD Channels then cable but man I can not stand the fricken dish on the house and now crappy service.....Oh but when Nana called to cancel she got a really nice and helpful person....ironic and a little to late......Anyway.....Thank you cable guy who came today......its nice to watch College Football in HD again.....and I can not wait to watch all my TV shows in HD again.....I love it....And most importantly I can't wait to watch the Cougs in HD!

The girls had their 2nd haircuts today......I took them to Fonda, my hairstylist.....she did such a good job.....the girls were so excited to go and both were really great......it probably helped that I have been taking them into the Salon a few times so they really knew Fonda.....here are a few pics after.....MJ hates getting her picture taken now.....I think you can tell....

We didn't do much else today.....it is definitely Fall here......the leaves are turning and we had a cold windy day.....I love it.....I sure will miss Fall when we move to San Antonio......

Now, I don't want to get too excited but in the past two days Mikiah has been going potty on the big potty and today during dinner she told me "Mom I have to go potty".....(She usually just says she needs me and that is my cue that she needs to go).....anyway she got on the potty and sure enough she actually pooped on the potty (I know a little too much detail).......she was SOOOO PROUD...."Mommy look I Pooped in the Potty!!!"......Her favorite part was watching it as she flushed it down the toilet......Love it......hopefully this is a turning point for her.....I always thought that she would be more interested then Kiara (who I know will figure it out soon).....My favorite part about MJ pottying beside the obvious is listening to her tell Daddy about it.....so effin adorable......

Lastly here is cutie pic of Lila from today....who I must say is growing like a weed, but hates to eat solid food......I know she too will come around......As you can see she loves her Red Bird.....and I love her in her Pilot Cap....

Out and about on a Thursday.....

Ahhh, 2 more days till daddy will be here....well by the time I post this there will be 1 more day.....We were pretty busy here today.....The house cleaner came this morning for 3 hours so out of the house we went.....On the agenda today Reaney Park......we had a great time at the park......I swear the girls could play at the park all day.....and I think out of all the Pullman parks they have been to they really liked Reaney Park....but of course my concern is the road is super close to some of the park.....but the girls were great and stayed close.....after the park we were off to McDonald's.....I know, not exactly healthy.....but they did get apples and chicken nuggets.....and of course my girls love milk.....but man it seems lately that they take forever to eat.....I think we were at McDonald's for at least 45min to an hour......but even with dinner lately it seems that they have been taking a long time.....could just be a phase....

After a good nap....(I am still liking the fact that all 3 girls go down about the same time since it lets me do some work and catch up on recorded TV! I tell you I am such a junkie picking up new shows to watch, ahhhh!).....it was project time with Nana....they got to paint the first half of a 2 part project.....and they loved it....I will post the finish products tomorrow or Saturday......I rounded out my night with a little Ugly Betty and some Grey's Anatomy (I love Grey's and so glad it is back on)....and of course I got sucked in to the show on after it.....Big Shots....not sure my take on that show but I don't mind watching Michael Vartan on the TV......Early Fall is my favorite time for TV.......ahh and now I suppose I should get to bed, I can not believe how late it is....Oh, on a preview week note......I fianlly watched Chuck (recorded from Monday)....could be a pretty good/funny show...or stupid...another one I will have to wait and see on.....So I leave you now with some pics from the last week....

Work, Work, Work.....

I can not believe it is already Wednesday night.....today zoomed by.....probably because I was busy most of the day......I woke up late or should I say slept in....again....which made for a hustle and bustle of a morning getting all three girls and myself fed, showered and cleaned up for Library time.....I must say we got there with 5 minutes to spare.....phew!....Mikiah just cracks me up.......when we got there and walked in to the Library the first thing out of her mouth was "Hello Kids"......she just loves playing and talking to other kids......So opposite from Kiara who is still really stand-off-ish even with other kids..... Mikiah was a little confused when Kathleen (the Children's Librarian) wasn't there and Beth her assistant was......She LOVES Kathleen......so today MJ actually sat in the back with Kiara, Lila and me......I am sure next week when Kathleen is back she will be right up front......it was still fun for all the girls.......I love that they get to interact with other kids their age.....the playing continued while I check out some books for the girls......I swear we go through about 10-12 in a few days.....they love story time and reading.....

Karey (my boss, I love calling her that) came over this afternoon we were able to get a bunch of work done and some budget training.....so hopefully I can be lifting some of the budget reconciliation from her work load.....It feels so good to be working......I am not sure why but I do love a good challenge and working hard....and I love working remotely....its the best......I also want thank Nana for watching Miss Lila and the twins for me during my afternoon work session.....it was appreciated!

So I did my first attempt at making baby food tonight.....and it turned out pretty good....Lila was getting tired of cereal and not too into bananas....so on to carrots I went.....steamed and pureed...Lila did ok.....the first day with a new food is usually the hardest......I can not wait to make her next food....I really like knowing what goes into what she is eating.....and I seriously can not stand the smell of baby food....

So we are counting down the day until Daddy gets home....Mikiah was still talking about putting 'The White Kitchen' on her list for Santa.....the fact that she was still talking about it today leads me to believe that she really will put in on her list.....all in all it was a good day here in P-Town....we just all can not wait to see Shawn.....Saturday can not come soon enough.....Well I am off to get my TV Fix.....we are recording Private Practice so Nana and I can watch it together tomorrow.....I can not wait......I am off to finish watching Criminal Minds.....rumor has it this is Mandy Patinkin's last episode.....which sucks.....but we shall see how the show develops with out him.....

The girls are excited......

So Shawn brought us great news today.....he is coming back to P-Town a week early....he gets in this Saturday instead of next! Yeah.....the girls are so thrilled that daddy will be back for about 10 days instead of 3!!!.....Looks like he and Joel found a place to live in San Antonio....until the girls and I can get down there and move into a house.....

Today I made the mistake of letting Mikiah look at the Pottery Barn Kids catalog that came in the mail.....and now she carries it everywhere showing everybody what she wants.....she has been telling us all "I want a white kitchen!.....Can you get it for me??" She loves this particular kitchen.....not sure why....and man is it pricey @ $399....most things in Pottery Barn Kids are.....I told her to put it on her Wish List for Santa (You never know)........she was like "OK".....looking at me dumbfounded.....I suppose this year will be our first with explaining and making Santa lists.....should be fun....after the kitchen MJ said she wanted, the Vacuum, Mixer, Coffee Pot and a Friend (I assume she means the girl in the picture).....I explained that Santa probably can't get the friend for her, but that she could make new friends in San Antonio....she was excited.....and of course like all 1 track minded kids went back to "I want a white kitchen, do you think Daddy can get it for me"......I just love the way 3 year olds reason and think.....so fun to watch them formulate proper sentences.....I still can not believe that the twins birthday is next Sunday.......I just never thought they would grow up so fast.....

TV Junkie once again........

It is finally here Fall Preview Week!!! I am so stoked......and pretty excited for TV this week.....I love watching new shows and then if they suck dropping them after a few weeks.....my most anticipated new show this year is Private Practice.....the Grey's Anatomy spin off.....I am also excited For Grey's......but tonight it is all about Heroes.....I can not wait till 9.00pm.....I just wish Shawn was here to watch it with me.....but I will record them for him as he has no cable right now.....Which would totally suck.....I think I would hate it if I didn't have cable...although I guess you can watch most shows on the Internet.....

Today we didn't do much.....I slept in....since Grandpa didn't work out....I regretted sleeping in later when I was trying to do my work out with the girls watching....I guess I should be thankful for the 20 minutes I did get in better then nothing......I did find time today to get some WSU work done....it felt good....the girls had and easy day they did a little playing, napping, eating and reading.....all in all a status quo kind of day.....remind me tomorrow and I will tell you about our lovely run in with Dish Network....its too long of a story for me to get in before Heroes.....I am out.....it is almost 9.00pm....

"Project, Mommy......I want to do a project now!"

We had a pretty good weekend here in Pullman......except the Coug loss, maybe if our defense actually showed up to the game we may have a fighting chance......So now it is Sunday night and I am sitting here in bed listening to Kiara cough up about half her lung.....poor kid....I really hate it when the kids are sick.....I just feel so bad for them......although I have to admit my kids are troopers and like to say they aren't sick.......they will even argue about it while blowing their noses......"I am NOT Sick"......my response is always "Uh-huh sure your not!"......On the weekend....

Saturday morning Nana Anna, the girls and I were up early.....well early for the girls....7.15am.....and off the Farmers Market we went......we were hoping to get some Elderberry Jelly from the Jelly lady.....but a deer ate one of her bushes and so no jelly this week.....Sorry Daddy (Its the only, and I mean the only jelly Shawn will eat).....the girls were bummed that there was no "Daddy Jelly".....but they did have fun tasting some apples and picking out vegetables......so fun to bring them......I can not say how much I love shopping at the market.....Sure hope there are some good ones in San Antonio.....We then headed to Wal-Mart for some art supplies for the girls.....blunt scissors, glue sticks, some plaster/clay, and some new crayons......the girls were thrilled and could not wait to do a project.....they freaking love projects now.....thats all they talk about.....Mikiah wakes up and the first think out of her mouth is "I want to a project.....right now mommy!".....so cute......and once they get started it is like pulling teeth to get them to be done with it......this weekend the girls focused on color a piece of paper completely, cutting with blunt scissors, and pasting with a glue stick.....in the end we ended up with a pretty cool paper chain.....Nana's idea and what a good one it was......Mikiah was so excited that we hung it in their room.....

The rest of the weekend we laid pretty low.....had Pat and Karey over for the Coug Game on Sat.....they are always so much fun to hang out with.....lots of good food.....Lentil Nachos and an Awesome Chocolate Cake.....I am hoping to get some new recipes up on The Breezy Cook soon.....Watched the Seahawks game today......So glad they pulled ahead to get a win......I just love Fall and Football......I do miss watching the games with my sweetie.....Today the girls helped Grandpa pick some tomatoes and corn....they even helped him shuck it.....such good little helpers......So to end the weekend here are some pics......some of the girls doing projects and some other random ones from the weekend......

"Look mommy green snot..."

So today was a pretty good day......I must say it is nice to be back online....."Oh how I missed you so"......All the girls and Nana are sick....so lets just say we had lots of tissues, green snot and attitude......and the girls love to show me the tissues the used.....I swear my kids are 10 times more crabby when they don't feel well and freaking whiny.....I hate whining!....And to top it all off my patience level was pretty thin today.....I really want to know how parents can parent with out raising their voice??? I really try not to raise mine (Mikiah is really sensitive and I know I shouldn't) but every once in awhile it just happens....it doesn't help that I am loud to begin with.....So sorry to my girls today for my own lack of patience......I know I can expect a bit much from them.....I suppose I keep forgetting they aren't even three yet....though their birthday is just around the corner......

On a side note......I was able to get some WSU work done.....Yeah!.....Actual work is going great......been trying to do as much as I can.......and now that I am back online and all VPN-ed into WSU I will be able to get more done!.......so nice to exercise the mind.....and so fun to work with Karey.....Just love her and still so thankful!....Even better that she lives right next door....So great and I love that she is always up for a beer on the stoop and adult conversation.....God knows we all need that every now and then......I must say the girls too love that Pat and Karey live next door.....they always call for Pat when they are on the back stairs (cause they can see over the fence)...."Hi Pat!"...."You there!".....and when he is......he is gracious enough to carry on a conversation with the girls....they just love it!

So Shawn and I were up to more planning today.....he finally locked down a start date.....October 10th.....he is so excited to be back in the work force again. I am thrilled for him.....and still in a bit of shock that we are moving to San Antonio.....(I think its the 8 largest city in the nation)...I suppose shock is the wrong word....I guess I am giddy-ly anxious......The cool thing is there is lots to do there...Sea World, Six Flags, Riverwalk, Alamo.....Tons of stuff for all my friends and their kids to come down and do....WINK WINK!.....Ahhhh, I can not wait till we are all settled into a house and host our first guests!......I just love looking at houses and the prices are great!.....Ahh well its all just so exciting.....I am off to check some more out.....its additcting!

San Antonio here we come....

So with the title I bring you good news......Shawn has accepted an offer for a position in San Antonio....he will be starting on October 8th or so....He will be working for Harland Clarke as a Sales Force Automation Senior Specialist. We are extremely excited for our new adventure down south.....and I am super excited to check out the Riverwalk, must be the tourist in me or the dork in me....not sure yet which one.....I am also thinking that with the Sonics possible move I have decided that we will have to become Spurs fans too....

Shawn and I have a bunch of things to figure out, like moving timeline, buying a house/or renting.....we will let you know as the plans develop....just really wanted to share our good news! Time to toast Shawn on a job hunt well done! Love you Honey!

A catch up in pictures and videos......

The past week in pics......not too much went on......but here you go....so glad to be back....and we are off.....

Lila got a new car seat, finally!.....She loves it and so do I, thanks to the huge sale going on for Britax products.....gotta love a seat with true side impact!......She loves crusin in her Britax Boulevard

Lila also played some piano....
Kiara left her ponytail in long enough for me to get a picture......she can be a stinker and pull them right out.....and they look so good....Oh well...
We cheered on the Cougs...and as you can see Lila is back at the piano....she freaking loves it...another little noise maker in the family......I think this will be the only time Lila will wear the Coug Jersey....I could barely get it snapped....she is getting so big...I swear it seems she grows so much everyday...can it really be the cereal?...hmmm.....

The big girls played with some lentils and white beans....talk about cheap entertainment...the had so much fun pouring and measuring....I swear they played with these for an hour.....until Kiara thought it would be fun to dump them all on the floor....so glad none of the dogs like them.....Kiara did spend quite a bit of time cleaning all of them up.....and Mikiah was sweet enough to help her.....too cute! They also made faces this past week.....they wanted to after watching an episode of Barney....and yes they do still LOVE Barney.....the girls love art projects now.....for the project below I just put the sticky stuff on the paper and they created.....so much fun...Kiara's Face is on the Left and Mikiah's is on the right....

The girls are really into books and still love to read.....Well now that they are actually remembering stories they like to read the books themselves......here is a video of Mikiah.....I wish you could understand her better but man is she cute...

And Finally I will end with Lila from this morning babble-ling and laughing....

Funfilled Thursday out of the house......

So Nana and Grandpa have gone back to having the house cleaner come everyweek for 3 hours or so....With all of us here it gets pretty dirty...so we were up and out of the house by 8.15am.....amazingly I even got in a short workout before we left....We headed over to Moscow for some breakfast at The Breakfast Club....I love their food....and the kids meals are cheap and big......I was a little nervous as I never know how the girls will be and I am only 1 person.....but I must say they were great and super excited to go out to breakfast!!! To top it off they were really good....and totally listened!!! Maybe they are maturing....Hmmm....They also have been working on watching for cars and holding hands when walking from the Suburban to where we are going....too cute......except yesterday Kiara accidentally ran Mikiah into a door on the way out of breakfast, didn't help that MJ wasn't really watching where she was going....not totally Kiara's fault, shoot she probably didn't see the door jam.....1 minor injury (bump on the head), two kids breakfasts, a French Toast Benedict and a really good Lila....equals.....Breakfast Success!

After breakfast we still had an hour or so to kill.....Off to the park we headed....I wanted to try the Terre View on again.....we drove up.....no sketchy people.....so to the park we headed....lets just say I think this is the girls favorite park in Pullman so far....(Although I am sure they would love Reaney Park, next on my list).....they have two play structures that the girls could play on and some swings....So fun! Here are a few action photos...

After the park we had a few errands to run and then we were home for nap time. Which Kiara wasn't very happy about. Lets just say it is the first time that I have put Kiara down while she was kicking and screaming that she didn't want a nap.....the best part is she was asleep within 5 mins.....After nap I pushed the girls in the stroller and packed Lila up to Jefferson Elementary.....we went to pick up Holly (her parents had a meeting).....they girls were to excited to be up at the school.....Mikiah especially.....she loved all the kids, school buses....you name it!.....She is so ready for preschool....now if she could just figure out the potty thing.....we will get there......That's about all from here......sounds like Grandma Paula will be here today.....she is catching a ride with a co-worker....the girls will love it.....and we may even hit the Latah County Fair.....ever since the Puyallup Fair Mikiah has been begging to go to another one!!!

"On the Phone with Daddy".....

"We will go where the best job is"....that is my new motto. So Shawn has been doing great in Texas looking for work.....and all his applying is starting to pay off.....He has had some good job interviews but nothing that has been the right fit......until now. So fingers crossed for Shawn he has had 2 interviews with a company in San Antonio and if all goes well tomorrow with his screening tests then he will be heading down to San Antonio on Friday for another round of interviews......I know San Antonio.....its 90 miles south of Austin and there are tons of cool towns between Austin and San Antonio to live with good schools.....and the housing is actually a little cheaper in some areas.....I am excited for Shawn and for us....so hopefully this job will pan out....and if for some reason it isn't the right fit.....its no big deal and there will be more offers.....So best of luck for Shawn tomorrow morning!!!

I just want you all to know I have been trying to post everyday but man the Internet has been crawling here....that is when it is working.....I tore apart the office yesterday switching out wires and cables and network boxes......crap I say .....nothing changed the speed of it....it is so sporadic....right now...great.....who knows what the next 5 minutes will bring...anyway....we will be calling someone tomorrow to get if fixed.....who knew how much I depended on the Internet....crazy I tell you! And I have so many recipes to post on the Breezy Cook....soon soon!

On with today........Today is Mikiah' s Favorite day....."Library Day"....She just loves going to Story Time.....and it is so interactive....she really thrives there...up in front, doing all the activities, totally attentive....she just really loves it....Kiara likes going too.....but she is more of the 'In the back of the room' kind of gal.....which is cool....she still does most of the activities with me right next to her....Lila also had a great time she was awake the whole time in the Ergo Baby Carrier (Ok I need to stop and again thank Molly for her recommendation to buy this baby carrier, I absolutely love it as does Lila!!!)...the girls had a good time, checked out a few books....and left the library with out a fuss.....which is amazing considering they both have been on a "No Listen to Mom" roller coaster lately.....I swear I am going insane trying to get them to listen and I am sure a little bit of that is because Daddy is away.....but today was a good day in that department.....The only thing that really drove me nutso today was Kiara's obsessiveness with washing her hands.....when I can't find her or she doesn't come when I call her name I can usually find her in the bathroom on the stool washing her hands in the sink.....its got me a little nervous but hopefully it is just a phase.......

One of the girls favorite times now a days (well besides going to the library) is talking to daddy on mommy's cell phone....I have been trying to get videos of it....but the kids like to walk around with the phone which makes it difficult (just like their daddy who paces on end when he is on the phone)....but today I caught MJ chatting away.....I just love it....You can hear Shawn talking.......the girls love the speaker version of my phone....silly girls....

Lila has been loving feeding time....So happy for that....I actually bought some bananas today and for some reason I am really excited to feed those to her next....of course mashed up and maybe mixed with a lil' breast milk.....here is a pic of her eating her fingers because her mom is too slow at getting her food ready.....and yes she is sitting on the table in her Bumbo chair....I love this chair and the tray too.....although it is sometimes called her blowout chair.....if you know what I mean!!!

I'M HUNGRY!

Back in the groove.....

Ahh getting back to our routine.......Lila and I were back to normal getting up around 5.15am or so.....I got in a workout. I didn't go as hard as I should have but hey I got it done.....the girls too were back to their normal schedule....getting up around 8.15ish and wanting to head straight to the bath (Good thing they were filthy)....I love it when they go into the bath willingly....after bath it was breakfast time......Nana was home today and made us yummy coffee cake....so good... I was able to get caught up on some of my WSU work....I have been working to get all 3 girls down for nap around the same time and it seems to be working pretty well.....I mean it is always a good day when you get an uninterrupted shower and some work done!!!

Lila had her first taste of rice cereal today......I mixed it with some of my breast milk from the freezer....boy did she love it......she was so ready to eat, I had to make another little bowl after she downed the first one.....I was shocked, I expected her to hate it.....The girls didn't much like it at first.....I probably shouldn't have waited so long to start it but hey nursing was and still is going great.....So that was the big deal for today, Lila starting solids....The girls were so excited to see and watch Lila eat.....I think they were more excited then I was.......few more days of rice cereal and then I think I am moving on to totally mashed up fresh bananas......and I may even attempt to make my own baby food as I can't stand the smell of all the jarred stuff.....Man, I still can not believe Lila is already 6 months old and the twins are almost 3.........We didnt do much else today......enjoyed some sunshine.....made some dinner....yada, yada.....blah, blah.....

SO Miss Lila was a total ham today so I have to post these pics......she is just too funny....I seriously think she loves the camera.......Oh, in case you hadn't noticed she is pretty much sitting on her own now, with a few tumbles every now and then......

"Do the Puyallup"

We had a really good time staying with Joe, Victoria and Kieren over the weekend and they were sweet enough to take us all to The Fair.....I haven't been to the fair since high school.....I know insane.....Anyway we loaded up the Suburban they had rented (V's car was in the shop)and headed south. We had such a good time hanging out with the family.....the girls and Kieren were great at the fair.....I think we were there for most of the afternoon/evening......the best part is the food...Mikiah would disagree and say her favorite part was riding the carousel.....she loved it......all pretty much crashed out at the fair and on the way home.....here are some pics.....so fun! Thanks again to Joe/V for taking us and putting us up for two nights.....

Whirl-Wind......

We are back in P-Town....we have had a wild last week or so...with Grandma Paula in town, Nana's big birthday and then a trip across the state.........filled with photo sessions, Doctor Appointments and good fun Family visits. We are so glad to be home and getting back into the grove of our life in Pullman......

We started out at Grandma Paula's on Wed.....then had a family photo session with cousin Kieren on Thursday....then we headed to the Quah for Lila's 6 month appointment with her old Dr....I just love her.....Lila is doing great.....15lbs and 27 inches long.....time to switch her to a bigger car seat....UGH! More money.....then Saturday morning Lila had her TEDDY appointment.....it too went well.....but I was feeling pretty sorry for Lila....4 shots the day before and now a blood draw.....she was a champ!

I am exhausted and will be heading to bed soon....but be looking for a post some time later tonight or tomorrow to tell you about our family fun.....and share a few pics....

Love the Farm......

Ahh well we have been busy here this will probably be a short catch you up post. Grandma Paula arrived on Friday night after the amazing thunderstorm....The girls are thrilled that she is here in Pullman visiting....They can't get enough of her being here.....So fun. Saturday morning was filled with College Football Gameday (one of my fav sports shows) and then Cougar Football. It was a tough loss but I am so pumped for College Football....Love it. Sat Night was girly night to start the celebrating of Nana Anna's Birthday, which is Tuesday.....We kicked out Grandpa Jerry and just us girls along with Sindy snacked on some tasty snacks, had margaritas, had some girl time and watched a little Bridget Jones....I just love Bridget Jones.....I think I could watch or read both movies/books all the time.....Good times, good times!...

Today Grandma Paula, the girls and I headed up to my Aunt Beaver's & Uncle Stan's....They live just outside of Sprague on some farm land....they have an old farmhouse and a few barns.....livestock......talk about a great time....The girls and I saw the biggest John Deere Combine I have ever seen in Uncle Stan's Barn....the tires were bigger then me.....and I have seen some big combines before....effing huge....I can't even imagine how big the header is, it was off.....but it also has to be huge.......the girls also got to ride on an old John Deere Pedal Tractor....Freaking cool.....but when it came time to go outside and take a ride on a real tractor the girls got stand offish and hid behind my legs.....so no tractor ride for them today, maybe when they get bigger....All in all it has been a super fun weekend so far......here are some pics from today......

Uncle Stan and Lila

The Girls and the Tractor
