Doggie Heaven got the best of the best today......

Age: 11
I still remember when I met Theo he was a handsome boxer mix that loved to play ball. I have/had never met a dog more intense when it came to playing ball. He would play endlessly if you would let him. He was by far the best dog I have ever known. I still remember when he accepted me into the family by pawing my head and licking my face to get me to play with him. Definitely a memory I will never forget and will always cherish. Here is to the best of the best when it comes to dogs. Theo will be missed dearly........

HEAVEN'S DOGGY-DOOR
My best friend closed his eyes last night,
As his head was in my hand.
The Doctors said he was in pain,
And it was hard for him to stand.
The thoughts that scurried through my head,
As I cradled him in my arms.
Were of his younger, puppy years,
And OH...his many charms.
Today, there was no gentle nudge
With an intense "I love you gaze",
Only a heart that's filled with tears
Remembering our joy filled days.
But an Angel just appeared to me,
And he said, "You should cry no more,
GOD also loves our canine friends,
He's installed a 'doggy-door"!

Thanks Kaelee. Theo was a dog that was thrust into my life when I didn't want a dog - and he couldn't have been a better match for me. We soon became the best of friends.

I remember his 1st experience with tennis balls...Gregg & Sindy's dog Kayla schooled him in the fine art of ball catching...he would get 0 of 100 tosses with her...and when we threw him an easy one it would literally bounce off his head. But he didn't get discouraged...he just worked harder wanting to excel, and by the next year he could hold his own with Kayla. A lesson for us all.

Yes we miss him, but know he's in a better place...probably schooling other dogs...with an endless supply of balls.
