Paint Paint Everywhere...

It was an early morning for me....Lila decided 2.15 am was a good time to take a poop...and of course she hates poopy diapers...I mean who wouldn't hate it.....So I am up changing her and she decides she wants to nurse too....Ok...I am thinking if she nurses now she is not going to wake up at 4.00am to nurse before I get ready....Oh well...she is crying and hungry and I am half awake.....I am thinking I can always pump before work if I need too....So 4.00am rolls around...I snooze the alarm once...4.13am the clock reads when I finally get out of bed...No sign of Lila waking up...I go get coffee come back and she is stirring...Yeah....I am thinking good, she is going to eat......well she does for like 5 min and then she is out again and I can not get her to wake up and eat anymore....So I lay her down....Shower...pump for 10min...I am about to head out to work and sure enough she starts crying...ugh, I bet she is hungry.....immediately I know I am going to be late to work...knowing that the fastest way to get her back to sleep is to nurse her....I sit down and feed her...instead of waking Shawn up....(he needs his sleep too)...Finally she gets a good feed and drifts off to sleep....Clock reads 5.15am....late again....

Work was good today......it was nice to get out of the house and use my brain this morning....things are different there since the layoffs but its all good....I love coming home in the morning to all the Hurley-burly of an awake house....Kiara & Mikiah eating breakfast and being Chatty Cathys', Lila hanging out in her pack n play cooing along, and Shawn eating breakfast and doing some last minute work on his laptop or dishes in the kitchen before he heads off to work (Yes, Shawn is a tremendous help.....with everything!!!).....I love the schedule we have....The girls love their morning with Daddy......and I love my little escape... but coming home is the best part......

I promised the girls that if it rained we would finger paint. It is one art project we haven't done yet....and the girls got some washable finger paints for their birthday that we haven't used yet....Gotta Love Crayola....anyway....So it hasn't rained yet but I was so excited that I decided we would finger paint no matter what...I LOVE finger painting....its always been one of my favorites......I am surprised it has taken me this long to do it with the girls....The girls were totally excited....and boy did they love it...they were great....and painted pictures for all the grandparents, both uncles and auntie....they were really specific about who they were painting pics for too....its so funny that they are so particular about things.....they can't wait for their pics to dry cause they really want to mail them out.......anyway it was super fun....I am glad I covered the table because they had paint all over the newspaper, their arms, some on their face.....it was pretty messy...but worth every min cause they were having so much fun....the hardest part of our finger painting extravaganza was getting them down from the table..."No Mommy, 1 more piece paper"..."I paint pictures"...."Like Finger painting"....I think they painted 10 pics each....I even did 3 myself....I finally was able to get them down when Barney came on...you know my kids they can't miss an episode......here are some pics from finger painting....

All in all its been a great day....The girls are finally napping. They have been upstairs reading books in their cribs and arguing about something for the last hour.....I never know what they are arguing about...its funny though.....Well Lila is waking....I better go feed her....and get the girls up.....dinner time should be easy tonight.....there is nothing easier then leftovers.....
