Potty Training Meltdown....

Ok....So this post is late at getting up....Thanks to the wonderful Internet providers in Pullman, I swear the Internet goes down a few times a week....Good thing I have been tasked by Nana to find some newer or different service.....so anyway on to Thursday....

So Miss Lila has finally begun to sleep through the night again....she will cry out around 2.30 am but not to eat....she just needs a 2 sec back rub and she drifts off again....then she is up again at 5.oo am for some eating....and then back down again until 8ish...so nice for me to have some sane time in the morning to work out and drink some coffee and catch up on some gossip......

The girls wanted to start potty training again....they were doing great all morning....sitting on the potty and earning colored circle stickers for their potty charts and 1 M & M....(They get a cooler sticker and 6 M&M's. 1 of each color when the go)....All was good until Lovely Kiara started to do the potty dance....I am like "You got to go, lets go!".....She was like "NO I don't have to go".....and I said "Well you are doing the potty dance..."....So I picked her up and we headed into the bathroom....Total big mistake on my part.....she started screaming and kicking...."NOOO Mommy, NOOOOO!"....Holy cow....it sounded like bloody murder....."I want my Pull up"......"Kiara, you have to go potty, just try"....."NOOO Mommy...NO"...."I don't want to sit on the potty"....Still screaming "Put MY Pull Up ON!, NOW MOMMY".....UGH.....I was like "you do it, you know how, I have seen you".....still screaming "NOOOO YOU DO IT".....This went on for I don't know a good 10-15 min.....I did finally end up helping her put her pull up on.....she quit potty training for the day and said she would try again tomorrow (I am thinking she is not ready yet).....we shall see....I swear I am going to have 3 year old kids in Pull-ups....Kiara is definitely my really strong headed and screaming one....drives me so crazy....to the point I have to walk away.....Mikiah on the other hand did pretty well.....trying many many times....I will let you know how tomorrow goes....

"I love the Library Mommy!".....

So today was library day....Who knew that my kids would love it so much. It was only their 2nd time going and man was it fun....Of course getting there always poses a challenge.....I had planned on getting there at 9.30am for the 0-24 month Lap Class (siblings are welcome)....but MJ was being a total pooh this morning.....She didn't want to get dressed, she didn't want to brush her hair.....she was running around the house for a good 30 min throwing herself in the couch and hiding....So we finally got out of the house around 10am.....Holy cow there were tons of kids at the library.....So fun....we got there and the girls immediately went to some small rocking chairs and started reading board books.....they also played with puppets and said hi to some kids that were there....At 10.30am the 2-3 year old Storytime began....we got in the room filled out name tags...of course Kiara didn't want to wear hers....I was the lucky one that got to wear it on my jeans....there were probably 25-30 kids in the room all....it was pretty cool there were so many....anyway once the Children's Librarian came in all the fun started...she sang as she entered and then all the kids went up front including MJ to sit down and listen to the first story.....Kiara stayed right by my side in the back of the room.....I know she is shy....but I didn't expect her to need to be right next to me....I know she will become more out going as we continue to go every Wednesday....anyway Mikiah was too cute....she would look back at me to make sure I was still there and she would smile and wave....but man was she attentive....she loved story time and singing and activities.....She was totally in her element.....I was really proud of her....and not so proud of me....I can't believe I have never brought my kids to the library for story time....Talk about missing out on some fun.....after story time we went to check out a book for each.....I think the girls could have stayed there all day....so glad I laid the ground rules and the timeline before we went so they knew what to expect.......otherwise I think I would have had at least one screaming kid trying to get them to leave......On a side note Lila did great in the Ergo....I just love wearing her.....so easy!.....

After the library we went grocery shopping for just a few things....the girls were still talking about the Library....so funny....telling everyone in the store that they went to the library....Love it.....I am so glad that Pullman has such a great library that focuses on the children....and the Librarian Kathleen.....totally awesome....all the kids love her.....

Sell, Sell, Sell.......

Well I got up early today with Miss Lila....I shouldn't call it early, more like on time these days.....My one mission of the morning besides working out was to sell off my Stock Awards...I had until the 30th of Aug to do it. So here I am sitting in my work out gear in front of my Laptop 6.28am...Refresh 6.29am....Refresh 6.30am....SELL! SELL! SELL!...that's all I could think about.....Medtronic's Stock is pretty flat so it doesn't go up and down at a drastic rate...and I wanted to make sure I locked in a decent price...and I sure did...I looked at the end of the day and it was 2.50 or so less then what I sold at...YEAH.....now I am not rolling in the bucks or anything.....but it is money I didn't have yesterday.......But seriously I can totally see how people get addicted to the rush of selling and buying shares....ahhh! I loved it.....So an exciting morning for me full of adrenaline and sweat....

The rest of the day wasn't as exciting....I finished up a project for work, it felt good to get it done....I like working at home and it has been going great....nothing better then food for the brain!...The girls were fun today....They really love reading and playing with the books/toys/activities from the Library LOCKER Box.....Storytime has been fun and more frequent and its nice to have new books to read.......I read "I'm A Little Tea Pot" today...did you know there are 12 versus.....I didn't.....you try carrying the 'teapot' tune for 12 versus.....and then to have the girls ask me to read/sing it again.....ahhahha....but later I heard MJ singing it and acting out the Handle and Spout....Love it....While the girls were reading and having fun.....Lila was doing this...
Yummy Toes!!!

She loves her toes right now....too freaking cute....I think we are off to the library tomorrow....there are story times for Lila's age and the girls.....not sure which one I am going to yet....I suppose that depends on what time the girls get up.....I think the first class is at 9am.....Well I am off to bed.....gotta stay on my routine.....

Lovely Monday.....UGH!

Why are Mondays so hard?....Probably because 6 month old daughters like to get up at 2.30am crying with their eyes shut, not really knowing what they want....but yet falling fast asleep on the bed with out even nursing.....sounds like someone likes to lay with their mama.....good news is she wasn't up again until 5.00am for a feeding.....but the best part was she went back to sleep by 6.00am.....which allowed me to get back to working out with out an audience......I really have no excuse to stay in bed with Shawn being gone......plus I have been slacking a bit lately...and thought today being Monday would be a good day to get back in the swing of things....I am not sure why I had to wait to Monday...I am just one of those people that does better starting on a Monday as opposed to any other day of the week.....weird I know.....

For it being a Monday I was pretty productive.......worked out....posted a few recipes on the Breezy Cook.....got all the girls bathed....dishes done.....some laundry folded....and I even got a 5 min shower....all before Nana got home....The twins decided today would be a good day to not take a nap.....but they did stay in their cribs for a few a little while talking and yelling and just being plain loud.....definitely not napping....but I have to admit it is so funny to listen too.....I love the way they talk, tell stories and reason.....kids are so great!.....and amazingly they were not too crabby tonight.......Nana and I did finish our homemade tomato sauce....and man was it good....I am so glad we roasted the tomatoes it added so much flavor....anyway when I finally get the recipe to paper I will post up on The Breezy Cook....after dinner I talked to Shawn, he has some staffing/interviews/job fair all set up this week.....so he is doing great.....well that is about it from P-Town......I am outta here....going to go try to get some WSU work done before bed....

Love Laying Low.....

So we pretty much laid low all weekend.....we did the usual Farmers Market and Winco Saturday morning....I just love the market and I am telling we got Orange Rolls again for breakfast again...they are the best....So effing good, it was worth missing College Gameday....But don't worry I will be watching Gameday next Saturday.....Love College Football probably why Fall is my favorite season....The rest of Saturday we were pretty lazy.....Grandpa and I took the girls to DQ for some ice cream....we met Sindy and Gregg there.....and then we went to one of Kevin Mader's wheat fields and watched Gregg fly his Prairie Falcon....pretty amazing training a bird.....anyway it flew off and the show was over....Gregg did find his bird the next morning after tracking it.....

Today I have not done much....I did shower and hmmm, I worked for a little bit....and I helped Nana make some food....we are making fresh Marinara....we will finish it up tomorrow....it should be good, we roasted the plum tomatoes today....smelled so good....We had a beer on the patio with Pat and Karey.....catching up on their weekend....seriously didn't leave the house....Hope everyone had a great weekend...I know I did....sometimes there is nothing better then doing nothing.....

So here is a video for Daddy.....Lila has begun the DaDaDa Dada stage.....So cute..

And here is the most recent pic o Lila....I think you can actually see her two bottom teeth.........she finally seems like she is getting bigger...and she is super long.....just about time for a new car seat cause she is so long.....it also seems she may be FINALLY getting back into her old schedule of going to bed between 9-11pm and getting up at 5am....for the past two weeks or so she has been waking up around 2am or 3am....and me being me I just nurse her and she goes back to sleep or if that doesn't work I just grab her and put her in bed with me, I just love sleeping with her.....don't worry daddy your still my favorite to sleep next too......but the last three night she has been sleeping straight again until 5am.....hopefully she will just keep it up......I am thinking it may be time for some solids....I will wait though until after her appointment on the 7th of Sept....

Happy Lila!

Doggie Heaven Gained a Good Girl Today.....

I am not much for posting tonight, we heard this afternoon that Joel's (my brother in-law) Boxer Marin died today. Such sad news. She was a wonderful girl and only 1 week older then our boxer DB. I can remember when they were both puppies running around chasing each other...taking baths together....man they were the best of friends during their puppyhood....Marin will be missed.....Doggie Heaven is lucky to have such a great dog join the family....Her life was definetly cut too short....My thoughts are with Joel tonight.....and Mayday (Joel's Bull mastiff).....so sad.....

The House Cleaner is coming....

So today was housecleaning day which means the girls and I needed to be out of the house for 4 hours while she cleans up the place.....today she got here at 11.00am....So we had until 3pm to find stuff to do around P-Town....Today was Park day.....We headed out to Terreview Park (a park we had never been too and looked like it had good toddler toys) well we drove by and the park looked fun but the sketchy guy cleaning out his car and about a gazillion plastic bags of clothes did not look so fun....ok, call me overprotective....I am sure they guy was probably fine....but I was freaked by him and I am thinking "Scary, Me and 3 kids....no way"...So we drove by and checked out the houses behind the high school....insane how may houses are up there now.....

We decided to head to Sunnyside Park.....and so glad we did....the girls met a really chatty 4 year old girl (Nadia, I think?)....who spoke 2 languages...her mom didn't speak much English and talked to her daughter in a different language (definitely an Eastern European language)....the girls totally noticed and looked at me baffled....I really think I want to look for a dual language school district in Texas.....would be nice for them to know a few languages...anyway the played with Nadia and then all the girls met another girl who was 2.5, she was a cutie and had no fear when it came to the playground (She totally reminded me of the girls friend Natalie!).....Her mom and I chatted while the girls played and ran around.....she went to UCLA (and I am pretty sure she played Basketball there, she was super tall and mentioned that she coached B-Ball before coming to Pullman, and she just looked familiar)....she was really nice, I am sure we will see her at the park again......

After Sunnyside it was off to lunch, MJ's pick....I asked her "Cougar Country or McDonald's?"....she was like "McDonald's....I don't want Cougar Country".....(My Jaw Dropped I guess I will need to keep working on her, she WILL like Cougar Country!).....So off to McDonald's we went....and the girls were great....As you can imagine it was kind of crazy, we had time to burn so we ate inside.....just picture it.....Me, carrying Lila in the car seat, the girls hand in hand sticking close to me practically tripping me....staying close like glue through everything, the parking lot, while ordering, while in the restaurant....etc....I am just so glad they were so good.....some days you just never know.....I also had a funny person moment while watching and listening to Kiara....I have begun to see more me in her....Today she was like "....and after this we are going to the park, and then we are going home and then we are doing this....and then this".....it so how I am....Always telling them everything that is going to happen so their are no surprises or rapid mood changes....it was just really funny to see that she actually picks up on it and seems to mimic me.....Too Cute....I am sure when she gets older it will annoy me....but for now its just Cute.....

After eating we only had 1 or so to kill.....so we headed to Harrison Tot Lot, which is actually 1 street over from Shawn's parents (we could have walked)....The girls had fun and boy did the park get pretty busy.....to cool off we drove around WSU campus 1 time and then finally we came home.....Such a busy 4 hours.....and boy were the girls dirty and sleepy.....Nothing like taking a bath in a newly cleaned bathtub....after bath is was 'Rest' time...a little late, but hey they still went down for an hour or two.....Man I feel like were were everywhere today and boy am I tired.....I packed Lila most of the day (at all the parks) in the Ergo Carrier and man she is getting heavy.....So Day 1 without Daddy went off pretty well.......they of coursed talked to him today....and 'wanted' him.....but managed to get through it......Well, I am off to watch Big Brother on the DVR....can't wait to see who gets voted out.....

Bye Bye Daddy....We love you!

Title says it all.....We took Daddy up to the Airport today. We are excited for Daddy and the start of his and our new adventure in Austin, Texas. We hope the next 6 or so weeks goes by quickly so we all can hug him again.....We wish Daddy good luck in hunting for a job.....Here are a few pics from today.....
Texas Bound Daddy!
And this one is for The Chandler's....We love our PIMP hats!

With Dad gone Grandpa thought it was time the girls learned to drive!
"Look out Officer Sanders here come those Harper Girls!"Here is the Lila Scoot Video taken today....

The girls went down great tonight.....they are excited that daddy will be back for their birthday, I overheard Kiara telling Grandpa "Daddy will be home for my birthday"....so cute...little do they know that it is about 6 weeks away....I think I am going to make a calender so they can cross of days.....they will love it and it will go great with the map they have on their wall telling them where we are and where daddy is.........

Just talked to Shawn he made it to Austin and of course his luggage did not...his first leg on Alaska didn't connect in time at Seattle for the luggage to make it on the plane, glad the people made it on....Lame about the luggage....So typical for Alaska Airlines.....anyway he will have it tomorrow....so glad he made it there safe....Lila and I are just hanging out while everyone else is asleep including all the dogs...its nice and quite....

Time....Sure goes by fast....

I feel I have been blogging a lot about time lately.....and I have, its because as I get older it really does seem to go by faster and faster...and especially when a day comes that you want to come but in the back of your head you wish it didn't have too....sorry if I am not making sense....but tomorrow is the day.....the day that I wanted to come but secretly dreading.....Shawn flies off to Austin tomorrow....I am so excited that he is finally heading down there to look for work and a place for us to live....and the idea of buying a house really excites me....but I know how much I will miss him while he is gone......and the girls, they too are going to miss him.......

So for Shawn's last day in P-Town we did not do much, haircut and some lounging.....the girls got a care package from Grandma Paula. They loved it, Elmo Towels, Toy Fish that swim for the big pool, Shirts, and of course cookies....they LOVED it....and were so excited to get it....Mikiah was funny too, Shawn was like look they used Popcorn to pack it (Styrofoam nuggets) and MJ was like cool and stuck one in her mouth...I have never seen her spit out something so fast....."This doesn't taste like Popcorn".....soooo funny........Tonight Grandpa got home early and we decided to go to dinner....We went to the Coeur d'Alene Alehouse in Moscow....They have really good beer and super yummy food.....gotta love thin fire crusted pizzas.....after dinner we drove through some already harvested wheat fields....I think Shawn secretly liked driving the Suburban through them.....we tried to get up to Bald Butte but the Garbanzo Beans have not been harvested yet....we were still high enough to have a nice view....gotta love the Palouse rolling hills.....ahhh so nice.....Well I am off to help Shawn pack.....

Time...Soaking it up.....

Well the rain has come....it was rainy yesterday and gloomy most of today....hopefully it will clear up and be warm and sunny again soon....the girls really miss being outside.....We were not up to much today....the girls and I have been trying to soak up as much time with daddy before he leaves on Wednesday....boy have the last two and half weeks gone bye fast......the girls are really gonna miss daddy.....as am I....

I am really trying to think about what we did today....with the rain we totally laid low....I know the girls watched some Barney and played with Lego's...Shawn continued to look for jobs and arrange some interviews....it sounded like that was gong pretty well...I worked part of the day and finally made Lila's 6 Month appt.....I decided to call her pediatrician's office in the Quah.....and made her appointment there so we will be traveling back to Seattle/Issaquah after Labor Day......I decided I wanted to see the girls Doctor one more time, so we will pay out of pocket (not exactly cheap but we have the money since I am working PT for WSU) for Lila's appointment if Shawn doesn't have a job by then.....it also allows me to get all the girls medical records and immunization cards filled out.....plus it will be nice to see and visit with everyone on the west side.....I haven't decided how long we will be over there....but I will have that figured out soon...with me working it probably won't be too long.

Oh I totally forgot to mention a pretty crazy thing that happened on Saturday.....it must have been too traumatic for me to remember earlier.......Miss Little Lila go stung by a bee, right in the ear.....it was pretty scary for a short time....I am usually not the type to flip out, but none of my kids have been stung before and with Grandpa Harper being allergic to bee stings....it sort of caused me to totally feel like I freaked out after it happened.....the sting did swell but not too bad.....we did call the hospital and they had the pediatrician call us back....talking to him was reassuring and Lila was fine....we did learn that you can put antiperspirant on a bee sting to break up the venom...which totally helped Lila, that and ice....Lila was a champ....and seriously never really acted like she hurt at all.....I think I am going to carry a travel size antiperspirant in the diaper bag during bee season.....who knew?.....with that I am off to bed for a good night sleep....so I can get my arse up to exercise in the AM.....

We Love Feeding Odie......and Gabby....

So the Internet has been down.....so again sorry for not posting....I meant to get all this up yesterday......This weekend the neighbors (Pat, Karey & Holly) went camping and we were in charge of feeding their outdoor cats......I figured it would be a perfect job for the girls.....Shawn took them over Saturday morning while I was at the farmers market....and they just loved feeding Odie and Gabby......

They had sooo much fun....check out the video...

"This is fun".....did I get any sleep?

So our weekend was filled with all around fun......On Friday afternoon Nana Anna and I took the girls to Neill Public Library.....you know I had never taken the girls to the Library....anyway we walked in and immediately found the children's librarian....and she showed us and the girls around the children's sections of the library and all the play areas....she was great....they also have programs for all the girls on Wednesdays....we will be going to those...sounds like so much fun.....and they have these really cool check out items called LOCKER Boxes....they are themed activity boxes that contain books, DVDs, activities and any other items for the kids to learn with that pertain to the topic of the LOCKER Box....So we checked one out "Eat and Play"....its really cool and tonight we are to start the activities.....We are so excited....MJ loved the library so much that she didn't want to leave....we whined all the way to the car.....poor girl....

Friday night I headed downtown with Anna and Sindy to do a little wine tasting....I haven't been in so long it was nice.....then we met up with Shawn, Jerry, the girls and the Gecas' at the Lentil Festival......we all has some free Lentil Chile...So good....we also met up with Chris, Miranda and Holden......So great to see some of our friends....

Saturday morning I was up early.....it was shopping morning....Wal-Mart, Winco and the Farmers Market.....I went with Sindy and Anna....we got it all done by 9.30am......oh and I had the best Orange Roll I have ever had at the Farmers Market.....I really hope the stand we got them at has them again this Saturday.....After we got home it was salsa making time again.....yup we made another batch.....I just love fresh salsa.....this batch turned out great.....Joe, Erin, Jade, Cole and Sally came over Saturday afternoon for playing in the pool and spending some time together before Shawn heads out on Wednesday.....We had a really good time....Shawn, Joe and Jerry set up our tent in the back yard.....we decided it would be fun to camp with the girls......Jerry set up his tent too.....So after dinner we started out mock camping trip.....we got the beds set up in the tent.....we started a campfire and made s'mores......I LOVE S'mores....and of course for mine I used Hersey's Special Dark Chocolate.....man talk about tasty.....then after teeth brushing and cleaning up sticky marshmallows we were off to bed in the tent.....the girls slept together in 1 sleeping bag and Shawn, Lila and I attempted to sleep in our double sleeping bag......all was pretty good until MJ started talking and getting up, walking around the tent....then we would tell her to lay back down....and she would for about 5 min (long enough for me to fall asleep) and then she would be back up running around and talking.....finally after about and hour or more of this Shawn went and grabbed another sleeping bag and laid with her....I think he literally had to snuggle with her to get her to stay in bed....Ahhh Peace and Quite.....Plus Lila and I then had the whole sleeping back to ourselves....and wouldn't you know it....Lila slept until 6.00am....Must have been because she was sleeping with me....when we finally woke up around 7.00am or soo we had a traditional morning campfire.....and of course it then started raining.....we headed inside for some hot cocoa....and coffee.....then we were off to breakfast at Great Gram and Great Grandads.....we had a wonderful meal, Nana made a pie, Shawn and Jerry worked on a frame in the shop and then we were off to home for naps, dinner and bedtime.....ahhh what a great weekend!

I think I am selfish......

So the twins were up early today....7.00am....I think they hear Grandpa Harper leave in the morning when their windows are open....I suppose if I was ready for them to get up at 7.00am it would be ok.....but man I do love that 7.00am-8.00am hour.....its usually my coffee and catch up on the Internet hour.....anyway....with Shawn and Grandpa staying out late last night...until midnight or soo.....the house slowly stirred this morning....of course I didn't get my lazy but out of bed for an early workout...I blame Grandpa Harper, since he didn't work out, which would have woke me up since the Precor is in the room Shawn and I are staying in...."No more missing workouts Grandpa! Throws my whole day off!".....So yes again I plopped my kids in the bedroom in front of the TV to watch a little Barney while I got in my workout, is that wrong??? Poor Lila was ready for me to be done....she started getting really fussy my last 2 minutes.....I of course rescued her with I was done....I must say I really feel better when I exercise....although today I have been a little snappy with the girls.....which I am aware of and apologized to them for it.....I believe its because I am having a selfish kind of day where I only want to do what I want to do, is this wrong too????...Hopefully I will snap out of it and the rest of the day will go smoothly.....and I won't fly off the handle!......

I must say the rest of the day was good and no flying off the handle for me.......the girls took a short nap.....then when daddy got home it was time for the pool, because man was it hot.....around 100 degrees or soo.....HOT, HOT, HOT.....the pool was so refreshing...and it was 82 degrees......we played in the pool for some time.....and then had some Cougar Country (too damn hot to cook) and now we are off to put the girls down for bed.....

Love an audience....

So my morning didn't go exactly as I planned.....you know, it very rarely does....I like to work out before the twins get up but I think the whole house was off to a late start and by the time I finally got to think about working out the big girls were yelling for me to get them up. ....the famous "Mommy I want out!"........So I decided that I would exercise while the girls watched Barney.....lets just say I will look forward to getting up on time tomorrow so that I can exercise with out them watching.......So the whole time I am on the Precor the girls were talking to me (I totally assumed they would just sit nicely and watch Barney)....."Mommy you exercising?"......"Yes, Mikiah"......."You listening to music?"......"Yes Mikiah"......"You singing?"...."Yes, Kiara"...."Mommy Stop Singing!"......"Huh, stop singing, No way!".....over and over.....Too damn funny....well at least I was able to get it done....I always feel good after a good workout....Now if I could just stop eating dessert.....

I started my part time job today.....I am working for the Human Development Dept......doing some data entry, some special projects and anything that Karey can throw at me....Nice to be using my brain and working from home....and it will be nice to have some extra cash......

Here are some pics from today....the girls are getting better about being gentle with Lila.....

Working out and finally a goal......

Well I am back working out and I finally did something I never usually do....I have stepped on to a scale....wait for it, wait for it.....HOLY COW (Yes, I now think I am a cow after seeing how much I weigh).....Well lets just say I need to go down 3-4 sizes and lose 25 lbs to get to my target weight for my height.......Like I said before Shawn doesn't like skinny woman and I am so thankful for that.....but I am looking forward to being back where I use to be......so glad to finally have locked in on a goal....

Random News for the Day:
Ok, so I usually don't talk politics but thank gawd Karl Rove called it quits today....don't let that big heavy door hit'cha in the arse on the way out....ahahha....another one of President Bush's cronies has resigned....I so can't wait until the next Presidential election....I am totally ready for him to be packing up and heading back to Crawford, Texas........

In other big news....I read over the weekend Chris Noth finally signed on to play Mr Big in the upcoming Sex in the City Movie.....YES! Its about time...the role and movie wouldn't be the same with out him.....Here are a few Mr Big Quotes for your entertainment and enjoyment....

Big : Hey, have you got a light?
Carrie : I quit.
Big : Aw, we always used to share a cigarette together.
Carrie : We did a lot of things that were bad for me together.

Mr. Big: Interesting dress.
Carrie: Meaning?
Mr. Big: Interesting dress.

Carrie: Your girl is lovely, Hubbell.
Mr. Big: I don't get it.
Carrie: And you never will.

Carrie: Bet you can't get steaks like this in your little Napa village, now can ya?
Big: Where do you think this cattle comes from, a ranch on Canal Street?

Big: I never really thought about it.
Carrie: Oh come on. Everybody wonders what happens after you die.
Big: I'm too busy wondering who's dinging my car in the garage.

Ok, one of my favorite Carrie quotes....Fits me to a tee....when researching Mr Big quotes I found this one...Love it...I so miss this show and can not wait for the movie!!! I think I am going to have to bust out Nana Anna's DVDs.....

Carrie: Hi, I'd like a Cheeseburger, please, a large fries and a Cosmopolitan.

Back to our non celebrity world......The girls woke up and wanted to wear some underwear today.....sweet, I was thinking! We made some potty charts and they have slowly started the process of potty training....Its about time....I am sure it will take a little while....but we will get it done!.....I finished signing all my paperwork and I am officially a WSU Employee again.....I am looking forward to working from home....and I am so glad I am able to help my friend Karey out, while I am also grateful for the part time job!!!....I am starting tomorrow morning.....and looking forward to some brain food....Not much else happened today....so I am off to relax with Shawn......

Better memory then I think......

Happy Happy Sunday!.....and what a great Sunday it was......This morning we all pretty much slept in...I got up around 5 and then went back to sleep until 8am.....So nice to get some extra sleep.....The girls helped Nana Anna make Pancakes (Their Favorite)....they are so smart....they totally know most 0f the ingredients.....While we were eating Kiara was like "There is Sugar, and Flour and Buttermilk in them".....Their vocabulary and memory amazes me everyday.....I just love listening to them talk....and man they love to cook.....such little helpers...

While the girls were napping Nana Anna, Sindy and I made some homemade salsa with the ingredients we bought at the Farmers Market.....it turned out sooooo good...I will be posting the recipe on the Breezy Cook when I am done blogging about today.....anyway it definitely was tasty so we are actually going to make some more next weekend....to got with the chips and salsa Jerry made his famous Margaritas on the rocks....ahhh refreshing.....I gladly took up myself on my 1 drink limit....So good.....

Then we were in the pool.....the girls are getting better at kicking and sort of swimming around....they love being in the "Big Poo-lio" (That is how Kiara and MJ say it).......MJ loves kicking....she could kick all afternoon.....

We finished off the night with dinner with Pat, Karey and Holly....and then baths for all the girls....while Kiara was waiting to take a bath she was running around the house and yard with out any pants/pull-ups/underwear on.....well while outside with Daddy and MJ, I suddenly hear hysterical screaming and crying....I run to the door and Shawn is carrying Kiara up...I am like is she hurt and he said nope she pooped on the grass.....and sure enough she did, but what I think freaked her out more then pooping on the grass and getting it on her was the fact that Theo (Grandpa's Dog) ate it......so GROSS!!!! I guess he got to it while Shawn was trying to help calm Kiara down......Nana made poor Shawn wipe Theo's face off........so glad Kiara hadn't bathed yet....she did say she wants to wear underwear tomorrow....YEAH!....so that was our crazy evening.....with all the girls sleeping and Shawn participating in his Live Fantasy Football draft...I finally have time to sit down and update the Breezy Cook with some new recipes...and watch some Big Brother....this season is crazy and I still really do not have a favorite but I do like Daniele.....and love that Dick stirs up the house....I guess I just love that he is effing honest!...with that I am off to the Breezy Cook.....

Is it Cougar Football Saturday yet????.......

I just love Saturdays....I think I say it every Saturday post....Today I got up and ran to the Farmers Market in Moscow, ID with Nana Anna....we had such a good time shopping for fresh market produce.....Man do I love a good Farmers Market....we got so many good fresh fruits and veggies...love it.....then we grabbed some pastries from one of our favorite bakeries and home we went.....

The girls spent most of the morning playing with Daddy outside with his old matchbox cars...the girls just love them....They created their own city too "Mommy City"......the girls named it....too cute....they all had such a good time....reminds me of when I use to play with Matchbox cars with my cousin Troy....we had so many floor mats of towns and roads....man did I love playing 'Cars'.....

This afternoon we went to the Cougar Football scrimmage....we took the girls and we had a good time, but man it was hot.....We saw and said a brief "Hello" to Tony Bennett (Cougar Basketball Coach).....we also saw Mike Utley on the sidelines, I gave him the 'Hi, nod and smile' as we walked by toting our 3 kids......I love small town Pullman.....anyway it was fun to get out and see the Cougs......they still seem pretty green and a little sloppy to me then again I think it was the first of the summer scrimmage.....but who am I to judge....I can't say that I have every played Football....except IM during college......so hopefully we will make a bowl game.....there were a small amount of people....but you gotta love Coug fans....MJ had a really good time clapping all through the scrimmage....I think the funniest what that she clapped with the teams lined up...."Like Hooray you figured out where the heck you are supposed to line up"....Love it....
1st Cougar Scrimmage

Mikiah also drew some attention doing this (Check out below).....I think the people below us were surprised that someone so small could make so much noise.....

After the scrimmage we were off to Sindy and Gregg's for a BBQ.......lets first say the food was yum....and the girls had their first S'mores....So glad I didn't have to clean them up afterwards....

We had such a good day even with the girls not napping (they yelled, happy screamed, and talked all through nap time) which appears to be happening more and more....they take maybe 4 naps a week.....oh well as long as they get their rest.....So cheers to Happy Fun Saturday's and Messy Kids Faces!!! Oh I forgot to mention....we got home and then had some Oreo Cheesecake that Nana Anna made......SO DAMN GOOD!

Catching up....trying to remember....

So as you can see the Internet is back up and working......Yeah! Let me catch you up....Friday the girls and I had a great day with Nana while Daddy worked with Grandpa down at Agpro....now that I think about it we really didn't do to much...lots of relaxing and I even got a nap!!! I good one, probably 2 hours or so......man it was nice...Lila appears to be all clear of her two bottom front teeth....they both have fully cut the skin....the the hard times with those two teeth are behind us....I am so glad we don't get to remember the pain we had when we all cut our teeth as babies.....Around 3 or so we invited Holly over to play...we noticed that she was home and yelled over the fence to see if she wanted to come over and play.....I love that Pat/Karey/Holly live right next door....the girls love playing with Holly so much.....they can't get enough....and poor Holly (who is 8?) is a good sport going along with what the girls want to do.....she is a big help that is for sure.....here are a few pics of them playing....
Pat and Karey came over for dinner and a fire....Pat and Karey are so fun to hang out with so love that they are right next door....Her and I were able to finalize me working for WSU from home while I stay at Nana/Grandpa's....Sounds like she has a bunch of projects and stuff that can be done from home.....So nice of her to offer me a job that I can do at home and it will be nice to have some extra money.....
Grandpa and Daddy were late getting home on Friday.....and here is the reason why....there was a grain elevator fire on the Moscow-Pullman Hwy right out side of P-Town...They had seen the smoke on their drive home and had to go check it out....
Crazy....I feel bad for the Farmer that lost his crop of grain......I think they had most of their crop already harvested...MJ was happy to see Grandpa.....as you can see the girls are totally into drawing chalk bodies on the ground and Grandpa was Mikiah's next victim....and then it was MJ's turn....

.....anyway dinner was great.....I made up a pretty good cous cous as a side dish to go along with Grandpa's Grilled Pork Chops and I think I will be posting the recipe soon on The Breezy Cook.....The night was finished off with the girls in bed, beers around the fire and the sounds of the Students/Greek parties on the hill......yes school is almost back in session.....where has the summer gone.....

1st Tag.....

Ahhh, I got tagged...so here you go!.......I meant to post this yesterday along with another post for the day but the 'ol Internet was down all day.....I guess I didn't really realize how addicted to having Internet access I am..........So with that, I will be posting a big post tonight!......Enjoy for now!

Nothing better then Smelly Bears and Ice Cream......

Ahhh so its Thursday....and it was also house cleaning day....I swear when Shawn and I finally buy a house we are soooo getting a house cleaner. I hate deep cleaning.....I mean really hate it....I hate the smell of cleaning supplies, (probably since most give me a headache) I hate scrubbing and I just hate it all.......So it is really nice living with Nana and Grandpa since they have a house cleaner....YEAH! So she cleans for about 4 hours every other week.....which means the girls and I will be getting out during that time......

So today Shawn, the girls and I headed out when she got here around 10.45ish....it was fun coming up with things to do....first we were off to Shopko to buy the girls some new socks....(I threw all their old ones away thinking they would be wearing sandals the rest of summer, I apparently didn't account for the fact that they would want to wear their Puma's 24/7)......after shopping we decided to check out some new home developments in Pullman (Yes, Yes, we are still moving to Texas). But we always have fun looking at new houses.....then it was off to Sella's Pizza and Calzone for lunch....I love their lunch special its doesn't get much better then a Mini Calzone and Salad....SO Good! We use to eat there all the time while we were in college......I could reminisce all day....OK so back to the day....After lunch we headed to Sunnyside Park....the girls had a really good time running around and playing....it was nice I was able to put Lila in the Ergo Carrier with out the infant insert!!!.....We learned that Kiara really likes dirt, everything about it and her favorite part is sitting on it and getting herself really dirty in it.....too funny......"Mom I really like dirt and rocks....!" We met Nana Anna and Great Gram/Great Granddad back at the house around 2 and then we were off to see the Bears at WSU.....We got their just as they were letting them out of their cages...which were really smelly...not too mention it was a hot day.....YUCKY!....But the bears were cool.....the youngest was 1 and 1/2 years old.....the girls really enjoyed watching the bears run around but what they were more excited for was ice cream at Ferdinand's. So off we went to get some cones.....I think it was the first time the girls had ever had ice cream in a cone....they picked it over a bowl so that what they got.....they both did pretty well and chose Chocolate just like their mama......So fun to watch them try to eat their ice cream before it melted....here are a few pics from our outing today.....mostly Sunnyside and the bears......
Park & Bears

Today was awesome.....and I am finally getting into a good schedule so hopefully my blogging will get back to a normal routine too.....BTW I did work out this morning.....hooray for 4 days in a row......but of course I blew my calories on my waffle cone! HAHA!.....Good Ice Cream is too hard to pass up......

"Mom, put my Puma's on!".........

Well I can not believe its already Wednesday....and first I would like to wish a very "Happy Birthday to Erin!!"......hope you have a wonderful day!.......
So as you can tell by the title the girls got their new shoes yesterday and lets just say its hard to get the girls to take them off....Mikiah woke up this morning and the first thing I hear over the monitor is "MOM, come put my Puma's on!"......and of course she asked me again when I went in there to get her up for the day.....the worst part is that me being me I threw away most of their socks as they were all stretched and worn out....I think they each only have 2 pairs right now.....so I must run out and get some more this week.....anyway the Puma's were a big hit.....the girls love to wear them, hop and run around in them....and they love being outside....
MJ's 10 second Video...

Today I am flying solo for a little while, Shawn is down at Agpro helping out his dad, its good for him to get out of the house......This morning has been pretty good and except that trying to get my morning workout in was a bit of a challenge as Lila really doesn't like to nap right now and wouldn't go down this morning......she has been awake since 5.00am (although funny enough I think she is drifting off right now, finally!!)....I know it is because of her teeth.....so this should pass soon....all I can say is a 20 min workout is better then nothing....I am hoping she will go down when the girls go down so can get another workout in and grab a shower........it definitely helps my mood to exercise.....and I love rocking out to good workout music, my own little zone out time.....so I am on 3 days in a row....my goal is to lose 25 lbs....and then I will be the right weight for my height...thank gawd Shawn isn't attracted to skinny women!....I hope to tone up my muscles too so I will need to hit some weight soon.....I love being toned....its been so long.....

Pullman has been great....the weather is awesome...love the sun and the heat...which is a good thing since we will be moving to Texas soon......Yesterday Shawn and I got the twins in the pool.....for not having swim lessons (we are crappy parents!) they do pretty well.....they are good kickers and are getting better a dunking under the water and floating.....getting them out of the pool is the hard part....I think they could swim all day if we let them....it was refreshing....I am sure we will swim pretty often....I see lessons in the girls immediate future....I am sure I will be posting tonight again.....so I am out for now!

Back in the swing of things......

So today we started to get back into some sort of daily routine.....Both Shawn and I were up early......which was nice....we got to see Jerry and Anna before they left for work and also got to have some quite time for coffee and a workout before the big girls got up.....It felt good to workout.....ahhh I love burning calories and being a little sore......the girls got up when dad was finishing his workout on the Precor Elliptical....the just stared and watched him for like 10 minutes asking him questions and what not.....then later in the day they decided to mimic him on the Ab Roller....It was too cute....they both acted like they were cross country skiing.....they said the only thing missing was music....I love the things kids come up with! Great imaginations!

Look @ Me I am Exercising
Me too I need Music
Hey its my turn!

A large chunk of my day was spent organizing and getting settled in.....not to mention getting all the girls bathed.....But for the most part I got it all done so I am feeling like we are all pretty organized....Lila seems to like her new crib....although she is teething right now....and typical of my children they can't do anything easy, she has two bottom teeth coming in....one has fully poked through and the other should finish breaking through the gums tomorrow....she has been quite the pistol and maybe took 1 20min nap today....I can't blame her that has to be pretty painful, which is probably why we teeth so young....so we don't have to remember that pain......so tonight to relieve her pain I had Shawn go out and get some all natural teething tablets....they worked for the twins and so far so good, Lila is sleeping and calm....but I am excited that she will have 2 teeth....just hope she doesn't bite me while nursing :~).......

The girls LOVE their new room and really like playing in it........today they even had their snack in their room today...too cute....

They both have been adjusting really well....and they too are back into some sort of routine.....and since Nana and Grandpa's bathroom sink is lower the girls love brushing their teeth and washing their hands (they sort of liked it before, but not really)....I think they brushed their teeth 4 times today....I guess that's better then not at all......

Well I am exhausted...I think I will go try to catch up on my sleep....since I know I will be up early hitting the Precor.....I will catch up with you all tomorrow....

AHhhh Pullman.....

So it was just me and the girls last night.....All slept soundly.....Lila bunked with me since I was too tired to set up her pack and play, plus I knew we were moving a crib into the room for her......I must admit it was nice sleeping with Miss Lila.....but something at 3.00am got her going.....she was screaming hysterically and she didn't want to eat but she just wanted to be squeezed tightly and rocked....of course I am sitting thinking that she saw a ghost or was freaked by some sort of paranormal activity since psychic phenomena peaks at 3am....(OK, I don't believe everything I read on the Internet, but Lila has been waking up pretty frequently at 3-3.15am and I wanted to know why and I thought this was interesting true or not)...anyway, she finally dosed back off and then didn't get up until 7.15ish....although I was up around 5.30ish and dosed off and on until she got up.....

Most of the day was spent organizing and getting settled.....Karey and Holly were a big help this morning....we got the cribbed moved and set up for Lila.....I hope she sleeps well in it.....we shall see....so by the time Anna got home I was pretty tired.....but we continued to organize her kitchen (since I brought a ton of food).....and got most everything that I brought in its place...so much more to do tomorrow....The girls, Nana Anna and I finished our night off with a little Cougar County.....including Shakes for everyone......Chocolate for me of course!!!

I kept in contact with Shawn all day....to see when he would be driving the truck over....we quickly learned that we would need a trailer to hook on Jerry's truck.......we got a 16 ft for this trip and they filled it up fast....so a 16 ft Penske truck, a 5x8 U-haul trailer and 300lbs to the dump (which isn't too much)....The boys were on their way........Finally making it at 8.45pm...
Looks like we will be busy tomorrow unloading.....who knew so much stuff could accumulate in 3 years....

Seattle in our Rear View....

Where to begin today.....tried to get up early knowing I had a ton to get done.....but of course I was super tired and finally got out of bed around 7.30ish....so I felt rushed all morning and I hate feeling rushed.....but in this case I guess it was good because I got all my crap done my 11am-12ish......Shawn's Dad made it into town around 10.30ish and they went and picked up the Penske truck....as soon as they got home they loaded up the Suburban....and when I say loaded I mean there was not one inch of extra space....I think the girls were surrounded by food and toys and blankets and just stuff everywhere.....let just say we were crazy full......but the girls and I got out of Issaquah by about 12.45ish.....It was a bit unreal leaving a place that has been so good to us....but its definitely time for something new....so with Seattle and the Quah behind us.....the girls and I headed east.....

I must say the drive was great.....until just before Vantage....I hate road construction and I love that they do it on busy travel days......I think it set me back about a half and hour...and let me tell you that made a big difference when it came 4.15ish and all the girls were crabby to the point of unrulely....ugh!....Kiara talked the whole way and when I say the whole way she seriously gabbed the whole time with some arguing thrown in about taking her straps off to her car seat and she also took her shirt off and wanted me to help her put it back on....and etc.....the list seemed never ending....Mikiah was good until that last 45min when she wouldn't give Kiara her water bottle, talk about scream fest.....and then Lila.....well she was just hungry....but she settled down after about 5 min of fussiness.....I LOVE IT....I guess I would rather have the girls be good for most of the trip then be crabby for the whole thing....didn't help that neither of the twins napped.....Well what I can say is that we made it to Pullman.!

When we arrived there was an entourage of people here to help me unload...which was awesome since both Jerry and Anna are away....Thanks to Gregg, Pat, Karey and Holly for all your help with getting us unloaded, helping calm the girls down and dinner....It feels good to be here...Its definitely a good temporary place for us to be.....I know I will feel better once everything is in its place....Well its late......well not that late, but I know I have to get up and feed the dogs at 5.30am or something like that....and then its back to working out before the girls are up.....Nightie Night!

Last night in the Quah.....

I probably shouldn't be blogging right now as I still have a ton of crap to do.....but what the heck......

Packing, Packing and more Packing that pretty much sums up my day.....I was up early thanks to a lovely phone call @ 6.40ish...you know who you are!!!! Actually I was already up and had just gotten done feeding Lila, its so nice when she sleeps in........I got so much done before the girls were up....and then when they did get up I still got a bunch of packing done due to the fact that they were admit about watching Cars.......yes I seriously think they have seen it 50 times now....then after Cars they really wanted to watch Monsters Inc.....and I am thinking man that's a lot of TV.....but at the same time I had so much to get done....I guess I should be thankful that during Monsters Inc they were up and playing around....I knew they couldn't sit there all morning watching movies......Good Girls!!! During nap I was able to take Lila hit Trader Joe's and Target one last time.....I sure am going to miss TJ's......I really think they should locate one in Pullman, I seriously think it would do pretty well.........

This afternoon the girls and I went to Todd, Melissa and Natalie's house for a play date and dinner.....Shawn dropped us of and then came back for a super yummy dinner of Carne Asada....can we say "Hit the Spot".....man it was good....and of course dessert Cheesy Fudge Cake was also good....man do I love Chocolate.....I don't think I can say that enough....Anyway, we had such a good time hanging out, catching up and watching the kids play, it was really hard to leave tonight.....we sure are going to miss Todd, Melissa and Natalie........the girls love playing with Natalie and all her toys.....I swear the three of them were busy bodies all night barely stopping to eat....So cute.......here are some pics....So much fun.....

Watch out!....
Look Mommy a Plane....(she is really into looking at planes!)
Nat taking a break.....
Hi Lila!!!....The next Beethoven....(She LOVES Nats Piano)

Well I better get my arse off this couch and finish packing all this crap....as much as I think we are pretty much ready to go.....I keep finding more shite that needs to be done....ahhhh I gots to go! Here is sending my love out to my last night in the Quah! Its been real.......

Eating us out of house and home....

I first must say it was nice to not have to get up to go to work today! I love it....Day 1 as a stay at home mom is in the books.....and I want to wish a Happy Birthday to my brother in law, Joel! We will be in Austin soon.....

Today was filled with LOADS of packing....I think mostly everything is packed, except our clothes and bathroom stuff......Holy Crap we have a ton of clothes between the 5 of us.....Lets just say the pile of DOOM that usually resides at the foot of the closet is gone!!! Separating them out in to Pullman, Austin and Goodwill took me a good part of the afternoon....but I can tell you that I have all the girls clothes done and packed! Yeah!

So I think the big girls are on a major growth spurt or they just like to eat all day (unlike them).....I swear within an hour after eating their meals today....came the famous old saying "I want something else, Mama!"....over and over until I finally found them something healthy to eat.....I want to know where they are putting all this food......This morning they each had a big bowl of cereal with Milk and then like 2 hours later they had a bowl of oatmeal and then after nap they each had 1/2 a Jelly Sandwich, 2 big pieces of cheese, 2 whole bananas (yes they both had 2 bananas each, INSANE!).....then literally about and hour or so later they wanted me to make them dinner...which was hot dogs, chips and peaches.....and 2 hours after dinner Kiara still wanted something else....I finally had to tell her that she had eaten plenty of food today....and she was like "OK Mommy".....So like I said I think they are both going to sprout up soon....I guess I should be happy that they are clearing out the cupboards and the fridge...

Tonight I watched my nephew Kieren, while his parents went to a Mariners game...it was fun and so good to spend some quality time with him before I leave on Friday......He was really good and the girls were really helpful giving him toys and playing with him on the floor....they sure do love their cousin...Shawn was out playing poker tonight with the boys.....rumor has it he did win any money...BOO!..... Well its late and I better finish going through my clothes....UGH!
